Auditor to DJ to social work/ therapist
Grew up in St. Louis. Went to college in Indiana. Worked at college radio station and majored in psych. Took business courses to please father.
Gave herself five years in radio. Started in upstate New York and move to "major market Minneapolis"
After five years, took a job as a audtior in a major accounting firm. Worked there 7 years before merger
Accounting firm merged - new bosses. No more fun in job so started moonlighting in radio.
Read 90 second newscasts between 6:00 am and 8:00 am. Got to accounting firm or client before 9:00 am.
Unjustified firing - boss heard that she was on the air at 9:30 am but in fact the bit was pre-recorded
Got certified letters from radio station and University of Minnesota. Hired an attorney.
Instead of taking old job back, completed masters in social work.
The main way I rub off on them (kids) is as a role model
